Room 2 Cooking with Mrs Swanson!!!

This week we made cakes and jam with Mrs Swanson from Room 1. This was part of our Modular Learning and we went to the Learning Centre to do it.

We learnt that we had to wash our hands before we started cooking because if you don't do that you can spread germs.  We didn't want to make people sick!

Mrs Swanson read the recipes to us so we knew what to do.  We had to follow the instructions carefully.

We enjoyed mixing the cake and spreading the icing on the yummy chocolate cake.  We saved a piece for Miss Clark, she thought it was really tasty!!!

When we made jam Mrs Swanson let us have a turn at mashing the strawberries.  It looked gross but it smelt nice.  We are looking forward to tasting it.

(This blog posting was written by the children in Room 2 - Miss Clark only did the typing.  All photos were taken by the children in Room 2).

  1. Yummy, Room 2. Looks like you had a great time with Mrs Swanson baking and making jam. Jacob tells me you learnt a lot about measuring and mixing. Thank you for some of the rice bubble slice, it was beautiful. Mr Orr.
